The International Politics and International Relations is running for face to face teaching this Summer 2025 for all dates on the this URL. It is available for all UK and International Students who are interested in International Politics and International Relations and how these 2 subjects affect the lives of all of us. Lite Regal Education is one of the Leafing Summer Schools in the UK and one of the fundamental differences between us and other Summer Classes and Schools is that tied in to each subject that students study are tailored out of the classroom field visits directly related to International Politics and International Relations. These field visits allow Students to live and brief the Subject out of the classroom and allows co-operative group discussions that enable students to develop confidence in the subject This year there will be an Guest Speaker as well as trips to the houses or Parliament and HM Treasury. Hot topics such as Ukrainian / Russian Conflict as well as the EU / US international policies will be analysed. The Course is ideal for any one that would like to enter the global international stage for example - Foreign Office or Work in the Civil Service or Government or United Nations
Overview of International Politics and International Relations course
The world is interconnected and Lite Regal Education is one of the leading School s to bring you a summer course which is credit bearing in International Politics & International Relations. It is an ideal Course for those aged 15-18 and from the UK or Abroad who are interested in changing the world as global citizens and of course interested in Global Politics and Global Foreign affairs. International politics is the study of politics between states and how representatives or official of those states try to negotiate and play power politics in order dictate and try to negotiate agreement that have their own national interests at heart. It is in essence the interplay and negotiation of international law and treaties between state actors. International Relations is the study of the world politics and the areas of relationships that exist between these counties. Though a minimum of 30+ hours a week students from all over the world will study with a top teacher and through related field visits, study and workshops learn about and discuss interesting global topics – Climate Change, Terrorism, foreign trade.

Academic Content and Syllabus of International Politics and International Relations Course
This course is aimed at 15-18 year olds from the UK or abroad who are interested in making a change to world and to the country they live in. They should be interested politics, economics. Students will learn how to be global Leader and ambassadors and how to debate and become confident about talking about foreign and domestic policies and how to improve the world we live in for the better of all citizens. Students will discuss foreign and domestic affairs, law and how students can achieve the desired goal for the benefit of their countries citizens and government. The course will concentrate on International Politics and International Relations. It is ideally suited to those students from UK and abroad who would like to learn about World Politics - Politics and Foreign affairs of the Middle East, USA, China, Russia will be covered.
Student will be taught International Politics and International Relations though exciting and innovative Workshops, Engaging lessons and tutorials. They will mix with students from all over 80+ Nationalities. At the end of the course each student will need to present a graduation project and this will be a case study of a particular political or international relations topic close to their heart. (For example Migration, Human right Issues, Climate Change).
Course content of International Politics and International Relations course
The course will include:
- An introduction to the academic study and syllabus of International Politics IP and International Relations IR.
- What Is IR and IP? And how can the study of this shape and improve the world we live in
- Introduction to International Relations Introduction to Political Theory, Introduction to Public Administration, Introduction to Public Policy
- Current issues in International Relations and a study into the current schools of thought of International relations
- Examine the philosophical traditions, ethical debates, and concepts of service that emerge from different schools of thought in International Relations
- A look into the Role of the UN, WHO (World Trade organisation), and the Red Cross and its impact on Countries and its citizens both at a domestic and International level
- Post communism Politics in Russia
- International Migration
- Understanding US Foreign Policy : Tradition Power and Transformation
- Diplomacy on the Ground: Case Studies and the Challenges of Representing Your Country
- International Humanitarian Law
- International Relations and Foreign Affairs in maintaining dominance on the world stage - an analysis in the Foreign Policies of United States, China, Russia and Middle East

- Graduation Project -A project must be chosen to discuss in front of the class, teacher – A case study to be chosen from the students own person subject choice of International Relations or International Politics modules
Climate Change – Study into the governance of climate change - what governments, business and communities and state actors are doing or not doing
A Study into the Paris Agreement which pledges to keep temperatures between 1.5 and 2 and the Climate change activist teenager Greta Grunberg

visiting London Eye, Madame Tussauds or the famous Houses of Parliament, film nights, punting down the river, visiting a West End Theatre, themed parties, sports including tennis, swimming, dancing and many more.
Free Time
We understand that students will want some free time to relax, attend to personal administration and contact their families. Some free time will be provided for rest and relaxation, however, we believe the most valuable experience to the student is a fully immersive, packed programme of activities and so students should expect to be engaged in team activities for the majority of time.

You will be accommodated in one of the Cambridge or London University of College campuses. You will be allocated a room, usually Single Ensuite room although sharing or twin rooms can be requested from our Accommodation officer. Typically students will be accommodated on single-sex corridors or floors, with staff members and mentors always available on site. Living all together is a great way to make friends and sample the university lifestyle, as the welcoming environment allows you to develop a sense of community.
Breakfast and lunch is served and eaten in the College dining hall, which provides a bright and comfortable space for communal meals. Students will enjoy a varied and healthy diet: all meals are freshly prepared and special diets can be catered for with advance notice. A three-course dinner is provided daily either in the College dining hall, or in various restaurants as part of the social programme.
Safety and Security on Campus
Students will be overseen by our course leaders and residential staff to classes and activities, who ensure that students are looked after pastorally and socially during their programme and are available to assist students at any time of the day or night.
All students will be issued with emergency contact details for staff members and will be given a full safety briefing on arrival.
Student welfare
LITE Regal Summer School offers a safe and secure environment that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our friendly and professional team. We have a dedicated team of Managers, Teachers and College Mentors. The welfare of our students is our main priority at all times and our staff specialise in the pastoral care of older teenagers.
Management Team
Our Management team is headed by the College Principal, who takes responsibility for the daily running of the college, and supervises the Academic Programme. The Social & Welfare Manager takes charge of the Social Programme and is supported by a team of College Mentors, who ensure everyone is happy, safe and having fun.
Working together, our Managers ensure that every aspect of the college runs smoothly, safely and offers every student the chance to participate fully.
College Mentors
Our Mentors are key members of staff who support and assist our students within the college accommodation and throughout the Social Programme. Our team of College Mentors work with our Social & Welfare Manager in organising the college’s social events and excursions, as well as accompanying students into campuses and during day trips. They are approachable and caring, ensuring that all students get involved in the life of the college.
Eligibility
Students on the Law School Preparation course:
- must be aged 15-18 before 1st September 2025 (if you are unsure of the age criteria entry please contact our registration team)
- must show enthusiasm for Law
- must be fluent or near-fluent English language speakers – if you are unsure whether your English level is suitable for this programme, please contact our registration team
- must show motivation for attending the programme and participate in terms of attendance at lessons, meals and events
All successful applicants will also be required to provide a signed letter of consent from their parent or guardian. If offered a place, students and parents / guardians will also be required to sign a Code of Conduct for the summer school.
