About Hughes Hall
Lite Regal Summer School is proud to have Hughes Hall, Cambridge, as one of the centers for the Summer School. We have chosen Hughes Hall because of its location and because of its friendly atmosphere. Students will feel at home in this majestic Cambridge Campus.
Located in Cambridge in the heart of the city halfway between the Cambridge railway station and the Market Square, Hughes Hall is one of the famous 31 Colleges of the University of Cambridge. Founded in the 19th century, Hughes Hall supports students and researchers working in all the academic domains encompassed by the University of Cambridge.
Hughes Hall is modern and students will feel good knowing that they will have the experience of learning and being accommodated within one of the Cambridge College Campuses. The College has a friendly atmosphere and does not have a high table and allows students to walk on the lawns throughout the college unlike some of the other Colleges of Cambridge . The College is also known for its sports, the College has students teams for various sports such as Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Rowing, Rugby, Squash, Table Tennis, and others. It also has a Chess Club, Film Society, Writing Group, and Law Society amongst others.

Hughes Hall Accommodation
Accommodation at Hughes Hall consists of single en-suite rooms. Each room will have a single bed, a desk, its own shower with a sink and w/c. Each room is bright and modern and has large windows that overlooks the campus garden. Laundry facilities are provided as well as communal kitchens on each floor. Free WIFI will be provided thought the entirety of the campus grounds, TV room for you to relax, music room, and the college also boasts a large terrace for evening BBQ's. There is a swimming pool nearby a few minutes from the College Gates, aqua park and more. Lite Regal Summer School at Hughes Hall will offer a vast choice of sporting and non sporting activities after class that students can join in their free time. Hughes Hall has a common room that students can play board games or watch videos and in the Garden Room students can play table tennis. The College has a beautiful huge garden where you can relax, socialise, make new friends and have picnics with your new friends. Hughes Hall is known for its delicious offering and choice of food each day cooked fresh in the College kitchens. Students will enjoy this delicious food in the College cafeteria with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. The College cafeteria is overlooking beautiful cricket grounds and boasts a large balcony where students can relax, chat and enjoy spectacular views to watch Cambridge cricket matches.

Students have a choice between a continental breakfast usually consisting of tea/coffee, toast, jam and cereal or a full English breakfast.
Lunch
Lunch is served in the college dining hall every day, and this will consist of a hot meal. Students will be given a packed lunch on days when there are full-day excursions, and this consists of a sandwich, crisps, fruit, chocolate and a drink.
Dinner
Dinner is in the college dining hall. Students have a variety of hot and cold options.

If students have specific diet requirements (e.g. gluten free / vegetarian / halal), we must be informed of this prior to the student's arrival.
SAFETY AND SECURITY ON CAMPUS
LITE Regal have a full time welfare and pastoral team throughout the course whom are available 24/7.Every student will have a main point of contact whom will also oversea the student and be responsible for them ensuring their safety and well being and that they gain maximum benefit from the summer course.
All students will be issued with emergency contact details for their main point of contact and students will be briefed upon arrival.
