ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUMMER COURSE FOR 15 TO 18 YEAR OLDS
Overview
Updated: 14 September, 2024
With over 20 years of experience specialising in the teaching of English language courses to foreign students, we are renowned for providing friendly English lessons taught by qualified native speaking teachers.
The LITE Regal English language summer course is designed for students who’s first language is not English and has been developed by EFL experts, exclusively for LITE Regal Summer School, to ensure you receive the best tuition whilst studying with us. The course offers tailored support to ambitious young people seeking to improve their English language and gain skills for university and beyond. It is offered in small groups and is taught by native English speaking teachers, who all have at least a bachelor’s degree, are TEFL qualified and have minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience.
Coupled with cultural activities and excursions outside classroom, you are encouraged to express your ideas and practise the relevant vocabulary and grammar, helping you to develop both your English language proficiency and confidence.
Highly educated and experienced TEFL tutors who will teach you an intensive English summer course will improve your all-round language ability and help you to communicate more fluently and effectively in English. You will improve your understanding of written and spoken English. You will improve your pronunciation and gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will also develop a greater awareness of grammar structure and vocabulary.
Academic content
The academic part of the English language summer course consists of over 20 hours of tuition per week and concentrates on the key elements of the English language:
- Reading: you will be exposed and shown how to deal with many different types of reading materials from newspapers to business letters
- Writing: you will be taught all the different writing styles of not only creative writing but also formal and business forms too, allowing you therefore to write anything in English if you choose so
- Speaking: your speaking ability will improve as you do and we at LITE Regal Summer School feel that this is an important part of each lesson. We make sure that you practice and improve your communicative skills at every opportunity
- Listening: listening comprehension is a very important element of the English language course. Improving the listening comprehension will help in both your social and study / work life. That is why we pay special attention to it
- Grammar: grammar is the building block of any language. We cover all areas of grammar at all levels
- Vocabulary: vocabulary is the cornerstone of your English. We use creative ways to help you memorize English vocabulary in more fun way. Vocabulary for specific situations will be covered
- Pronunciation: achieving perfect English pronunciation is the holy grail of most English language students. You will work on and improve the sounds of English language through practical and fun topics. It will also help you increase your confidence
Formal progress tests are taken throughout the course, providing you with the opportunity of continuous feedback on your progress.
The wide range of afternoon and evening activities and cultural trips that complement this English language course are extremely beneficial to our English language students. They will enable you to practise the use of English while having fun with your classmates. You’ll get to try your newly acquired English skills in real situations outside the classroom be it shopping, sightseeing or going to see a West End musical.
This intensive course is ideal for participants who only have 2 to 4 weeks. The course is only available at Pre-Intermediate to Proficiency Level of English(CPE).
The course covers speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, naturally including grammar and vocabulary. The main emphasis of this course is on practical communication to build up your vocabulary and help to develop fluency and confidence. Our classes are usually small, which means that your teacher can give you the personal attention you need.
Participants are given plenty of opportunities to practice the spoken English language through discussions, debates and conversation activities, such as role-play and pair-work.
